- Preparing and submitting competitive bid proposals through the use of efficient and effective estimating procedures.
- Working knowledge of wood veneers, hardwoods, high pressure plastic laminates, solid surfacing, stone, decorative metals, acrylics, and wood
finishing is required to be considered for this position
- Obtain architectural drawings, construction specifications and related bid documents
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, custom shop and architectural drawings
- Attend scheduled informational walk-throughs at specific job sites, when deemed necessary
- Analyze required documents and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project, assessing for accuracy and completeness
- Conducting accurate methodical take-offs, and estimating materials, labor and time required for production
- Present prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders for constructive feedback
- Post bid follow-up via email, telephone and face-to-face meetings to facilitate proper de-scoping and contract negotiation
- Set up awarded project details for subsequent shop production, project management, installation, and accounting functions
- Maintain continuous lines of communication with project managers and production staff during the execution of projects
- Provide postproduction and installation job cost analysis

Environmental/Physical requirements: This role operates in a professional office environment, with local travel as deemed necessary. Required Education and Experience: Ideal candidate will have 5 – 10 years of Architectural Millwork estimating experience; Associates degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an estimating role will be considered in lieu of degree; Well versed in an array of technology, systems and platforms and demonstrated willingness to identify and implement process improvements in a positive manner; Salary commensurate with experience, skills, education and training
- Manage several projects at the same time from beginning to end, including Initiating Shop Drawings, Ordering Material, Scheduling and provide customer service to current and past clients
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, custom shop and architectural drawings and analyze required documents and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project, assessing for accuracy and completeness
- Review and administer contracts for project requirements, scope of work and confirm materials are consistent with bid documents and proposal
- Maintain continuous lines of communication with drafter and production staff during the execution of projects to make sure product is properly made to meet specifications
- Monitors and maintains project timelines, milestone dates, material delivery status, job costs and budget adherence
- Purchase specialty material and work closely with suppliers to verify purchased item specifications, quality, and quantity provided
- Utilize internal and external resources to obtain accurate material prices and vendor quotes
- Maintains necessary records of quotes and any changes to the project to provide information for accurate product costing and reference
- Prices and negotiates change orders and provides workable design solutions as needed
- Break out job into work orders and tasks before allowing projects to be manufactured

MILL POSITIONS
Hours Required: Full-time Monday-Friday 7:30am–4:00pm (Summer Hours 7:00am-3:30pm), limited mandatory over-time

Responsibilities: Seeking an experienced Painter, to lead the Department. Prepare all surfaces for painting, including sanding, patching, cleaning and masking; Mix and thin paints to appropriate consistency for spraying; Apply industrial paints to prepared surfaces; Diligent focus on accuracy and quality; Maintain clean paint guns, hoses, water reservoir and other painting accessories; Maintain an organized, clean and safe environment; Complete other tasks as assigned

Journeyman Carpenter
Responsibilities: In-depth knowledge of millwork, fabrication, architectural features in commercial construction and wood species; Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, custom shop and architectural drawings; Coordinate projects through all phases from start to finish; Construct and conduct finishing work, thoroughly inspect final product; Capable of performing all Mill Carpenter tasks; Lead and instruct Trainees and Mill Carpenters; Safely operate all machinery, tools, equipment and systems; Maintain a clean and safe environment
Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience; Work independently; Versatile, eye for detail and quality; Time management skills and deadline oriented; Team player willing to help others and provide superb customer service; Excellent attendance and strong work ethic

Responsibilities
- Cut out, build and assemble all solid surface components for assigned jobs
- Cutting, routing, seaming, gluing, sanding, polishing and finishing solid surface for counter tops and other applications
- Attention to detail, inspect finished solid surface products to ensure all work is done without distortions or flaws
- Maintain well-organized and debris free work area
Requirements
- Ability to operate standard millwork shop machinery, such as a table saw and router
